The subject of living in a way that is safe for the environment has been very popular for many years. More and more people choose to switch to green and thus show their concern for the environment. Acting in an ecologically-friendly way has become a lifestyle for many people, who want to help distributing the idea and build consciousness in more people's minds that everyone should do something about protecting the planet. When it comes to green energy, there are already some great projects that have been introduced. One of them, and possibly one of the best ones, is the energy-generating floor. This is a floor which generates piezoelectricity, which is electrical energy, created by mechanical pressure, such as walking or other motions. When pressure is applied to this floor, a negative and a positive charges are produced, which create a flow of electricity when the pressure is relieved. Here is more interesting information about floors that generate clean energy.

Sustainable Energy Floor

Energy-generating floors are known as sustainable energy floors. They use human power, created from dancing or walking, and convert it into kinetic sustainable energy. When stepped on, an energy floor creates up to 10mm, which is enough to active a generator of the module. Energy-generating floors can have different sizes, designs and shapes and can be integrated in a big variety of public places. The energy-generating floor is a great improvement in the tech industry, concerning cost effectiveness and clean energy.

Short History Of Energy-Generating Floors

The first energy floor was a dance floor, used in the Sustainable Dance Club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 2006. The idea was to build awareness in people about the production and consumption of energy in an entertaining way. It was a very successful project, which made people enjoy the interaction in such a fun way. Many other small and large companies have followed the example and have been provided with the product. By the end of 2012, the number of energy floor installations in the world had already reached 17 and many events in over 15 countries on 5 continents were organised. By 2013, the energy-generating floors had entered different markets, such as education, architecture and public transport.

What Can Be Powered By An Energy-Generating Floor

The power that can be created by an energy-generating floor depends entirely on the size of the floor itself, the intensity of motions and also the weight of people who step on it. Generally, the power is not unlimited and can usually charge low-power devices, such as small screens, cameras, LED lights and cell phones and some of the cleaning instruments which London cleaning services are using.

Why Use The Product

Energy-generating floors are available to either hire or purchase. They come with several advantages. Sustainable energy floors are a great experience for the wide audience, helping to engage and inspire people to be more conscious about the subject of clean energy. The project builds awareness and provides people with more information about the subject. When it comes to using human power to charge different devices, energy-generating floors have a huge impact.
